New Zealand Burnout Championship

NZBC brings you a National Burnout Series that is to be held over 4 rounds throughout New Zealand, which will lead into the Grand Final where the Overall NZBC Burnout Grand Champion will be decided.

New Zealand Burnout Championship is the brain child of a husband and wife team, along with a very committed group of burnout enthusiasts, that have a passion to see the Motorsport of Burnouts in New Zealand thrive.

After building their own Competition Burnout Car and competing in NZ and taking a leap to head over to Australia to compete as well, they decided that their own country was severely lacking in a professionally run series and this is where the idea became a reality.

After spending a lot of time talking to Competitors, Judges, Organisers and Spectators from New Zealand and Australia. Also taking the time to attend some of the biggest Comps in Aussie to watch, Listen and learn how it’s done by the professionals a similar format was created based on a lot of different Comps in Australia.

NZBC will hold multiple rounds along with a Grand Final at various locations throughout New Zealand -Masterton Motorplex, Meremere Dragway, Rock Riverside Speedway - Invercargill is just the beginning. In doing this, it is the aim of NZBC to have venues from around the country come on board to provide international standard facilities.

NZBC runs a Points system - At each round that an individual Competitor attends they will accummulate points through their judged scores, this will go towards their Overall score at the end of the series. The more rounds, the more points! This is something that competitors should aim for as this is how they will earn the title of NZBC Grand Champion.

To make the NZBC Series even more spectacular - Burnout Masters from SummerNats have come on board and have allocated a Golden Ticket to the NZBC Grand Champion!

Our lucky winner will earn themselves a place in the Burnout Masters Final in Canberra at the biggest Horse Power Heaven Car Event - SummerNats!
